SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Escuela de Canarias Hotels (Hecansa), a center attached to the Department of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, increases its digital training catalog with the course on ‘Marketing of tourism products and segments in the Canary Islands’.
This new training proposal is aimed at professionals in the sector who are members of the island and local administrations of the Canary Islands, and is part of the initiatives launched under the so-called ‘Thomas Cook agreement’, signed by Tourism of the Canary Islands with the Secretary of State of Tourism.
The first session of the course will take place in Gran Canaria on April 20 and will be held in person at the Hecansa headquarters, in the Torre Woermann in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
In Tenerife, the training begins in person on April 21, at the Hotel Escuela Santa Cruz. In both cases, the course will continue in digital format until May 25, the entity said in a note.
The tourist consultant Jordi Blanch Capellades is in charge of giving the training. The professor, who has more than 30 years of experience in the marketing sector, will be present via streaming both in the face-to-face class and in those that take place online.
‘Marketing of tourism products and segments in the Canary Islands’ aims to train workers from the tourism departments of the public and mixed administrations of the Canary Islands, tourism resources and the MICE sector (Convention Bureau), which is responsible for promoting destination tourism.
Among the contents to be developed, the creation of campaigns and advertising adapted to the real public of the archipelago stands out, as well as the analysis and management of the different tourist products or segments of the islands.
In addition, it seeks to inform about the digital promotion of the tourism sector and introduce attendees to the different types of tourism in the Canary Islands.
Hecansa’s digitization courses, which are available through hecansadigital.com, seek to develop professional skills related to the computer scene.
Thus, it is about the professionals who teach teaching transferring the necessary knowledge to understand the advantages behind the technological processes.
Escuela de Canarias Hotels also offers access to professional training in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
It has regulated training programs such as Food and Beverage Management, Hotel Management, Kitchen and Gastronomy Management. In addition, students have a scholarship service at their disposal, whose information is available on the entity’s official website.
