The workers of the company that is in charge of the security of the City Hall of Santa Cruz, SH Lanzarote, demonstrated yesterday at the gates of the Consistory in protest for the months that they have not been paid. The City Council has been involved in finding a solution to be able to pay the pending invoices to the company, and that the money effectively ends up in the pockets of the workers, given that the entity is affected by two Social Security embargoes.

Yesterday, the Councilor for the Presidency, Alfonso Cabello, met with provincial directors of the Social Security Treasury in order to find out in detail the embargoes that weigh on SH Lanzarote, “and try to get this administration to speed up the necessary proceedings as soon as possible that allow the payment to be unblocked, by this City Council, which owes the company two months, so that the money is used to pay the payroll, “argued the mayor.

“The City Council of Santa Cruz -said Cabello- is doing everything possible, even beyond what corresponds to it, since this is a problem of the SH Lanzarote company with Social Security, with the intention that the employees do not be affected.” This message was transferred directly to the workers by the councilman, and the objective is that the money be deposited in the company’s bank, which is the one that pays the payroll, and that it is not affected by the embargo.
