Agents of the National Police dthey arrested a 28-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of fire in a hotel in Adejepresumably to remove evidence of another crime.
The residents of Fañabé woke up on the morning of November 17 of last year with the news of a fire in one of the offices on Brussels Avenue.
The emergency services, including the National Police, evicted 150 clients from the hotel complex that were close to the source of the fire until it was controlled.
Once the emergency was controlled, the National Police investigators began to work on the ground, since, from the beginning, the firefighting services suspected that they might be facing an arson attack.
The inspection carried out by the agents of the Scientific Police ratified the initial impressions. The existence of several independent sources in the fire ratified its intentionality.
Likewise, they obtained evidence at the scene that, apparently, incriminating in the fire a person without any relationship with the offices or the hotel.
The fact that, according to the testimonies collected, the objects in the office had been moved and appeared in a different place than usual, suggested that the fire had probably been carried out to cover up a previous crime against property.
Finally, the alleged perpetrator of the events, whose search was laborious due to the lack of a known whereabouts on the island, was arrested days ago in the town of Adeje by National Police investigators. The actions were carried out by national police officers from the South Tenerife National Police Station.
