CC-PNC in the Cabildo denounces “the 80% reduction in state funds for railway projects in Tenerife.” The counselor Félix Fariña criticizes that the Government of Spain «only allocates one million euros in 2022 compared to five in 2021». He considers “an inconsistency” that the PSOE has voted against the southern train “and now they sign an agreement to develop the projects.”
Fariña recalls that “last year the five million euros were lost because they were not requested.” He reflects: «In Gran Canaria all the parties are united; here, PSOE and Si Podemos Canarias are opposed». He adds: “In February a motion was approved to include the southern train in the General Interest Railway Network.” He concludes: “The mobility solution involves guided transport and BUS-HOV lanes”.
On the other hand, the director of CC Efraín Medina calls for the implementation of the Energy Poverty Observatory to face the delicate situation of thousands of people on the Island. He recalls that in September 2021 he reached an institutional agreement for it.
