The security guards of SH Lanzarote are concentrated this Tuesday in front of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council for the non-payment of their payroll

The workers of the private security company SH Lanzarote will gather this Tuesday, April 5, in front of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Hall due to the repeated delay in the payment of wages that the company maintains for its workers.

Gustavo Villalobos, representative of CSIF Canarias in the sector, denounces that “for several months, the SH Lanzarote company has not met the date of payment of payroll to its workers, exceeding the date of entry beyond two months”.

According to Villalobos “the workers have risen to the occasion, maintaining a commendable patience. What we cannot continue to allow is that they laugh at our colleagues.” Gustavo Villalobos insists that “given the company’s lack of liquidity, it is the workers who, once again, pay for poor business management with their mileurist savings”

For this reason, this Tuesday, April 5 “we will gather in front of the capital’s city hall so that the necessary measures are taken and prevent the violation of workers’ rights”.

This problem has been dragging on for months. In fact, at the end of December the workers expressed their intention to organize rallies and strikes if the non-payment of their wages was not remedied. At that time, the security guards had not collected their November payroll. “The workers have risen to the occasion, maintaining a patience to praise, but what we cannot continue to allow is that they laugh at their colleagues,” they pointed out in a press release.
