The Cabildo helps with 550,000 euros to audiovisual productions that are shot in Tenerife

The Cabildo de Tenerife helps with 550,000 euros to the audiovisual productions that are shot on the island. The Tenerife Corporation has opened a new call to help finance the audiovisual productions that take place on the island.

The Minister of Culture, Enrique Arriaga, highlights in a note that “the planned contribution is 550,000 euros, an amount that represents an increase of more than 57 percent compared to last year.”

The deadlines for submitting applications end on April 14 and 23 initiatives may benefit.

Arriaga points out that “this collaboration of the Cabildo’s Culture area aims to be a stimulus for the powerful audiovisual artistic creation that exists on the island and facilitate the appearance of new proposals”.

The counselor adds that the projects that aspire to this financing aid must be carried out as of January 1 of this year.

The projects that can aspire to this financing are divided into four modalities, two of them for feature films. For the production, a maximum of eight feature films of real image, fiction or documentary from 60 minutes will be chosen, which will receive an amount of 45,000 euros, and for the development six proposals may be subsidized, which will receive 15,000 euros.

Short films also have two funding streams in this line of collaboration from the Culture area, one for live, fiction or documentary image proposals and another for animation initiatives. In the first of them, the maximum number of chosen will be eight projects, which will receive 10,000 euros, while in the animated short films one proposal will be selected, which will have a contribution of 20,000 euros.
