Starting today, Tuesday, April 5 and until further notice, the City Council of The Guancha restricts the use of water for human consumption to the entire population and throughout the municipal area.
The restriction of water consumption in La Guancha has had to be taken, according to Mayor Antonio Hernández, “due to a significant loss of flow, around 30 pipes per hour, which we have been suffering for about two weeks.
This has forced us to have to stop water treatment, since the decrease in deposits has been significant and we want to guarantee that at least the water can reach all homes and daily tasks can be carried out”.
The mayor adds “we understand that this loss of water is caused by significant leaks, which we have been trying to locate for several days, not only with municipal staff, but also with the reinforcement of an external company.”
Once again there will be fluoride in the water at La Guancha
In addition, the local president points out “right now around 110 cubic meters of untreated water is entering the deposits, which will trigger the level of fluoride again to values that are not recommended for human consumption of water, not even for the preparation of food, as established by the General Directorate of Public Health.
Antonio Hernández took advantage of the Radio microphones The Guancha to “apologize to all the neighbors for this situation.”
Likewise, he guaranteed that all means will continue to be used to locate and resolve the problem as soon as possible.
