SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 4 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

Metrotenerife and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) presented the campaign ‘How can we help you?’ with which it gives visibility to the free services provided by the AECC to cancer patients and their families, in addition to detailing the forms of contact and collaboration for the next collection campaign to be held on May 12.

The Councilor for Mobility of the Cabildo de Tenerife and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, pointed out that the campaign “can be seen in ten advertising locations along the tramway network and for just over a month thanks to the Metrotenerife Social Responsibility Plan” .

In this sense, he commented that given the advertising impact of the light rail in the metropolitan area, thousands of people will have the opportunity to know that AECC in Santa Cruz de Tenerife offers free services of psychological care, social orientation, physiotherapy and prevention or accompaniment for patients. of cancer and relatives, collects a note from the corporation.

Again, he commented, “with this type of solidarity actions, the tram proves to be more than a transport service by carrying out an important task of raising awareness and social awareness of various realities”.

Arriaga also stressed that with the launch of this campaign “the collaboration agreement that both entities have maintained for several years is ratified and renewed.”

Likewise, he invited society to support the next national collection campaign on May 12 and during the rest of the year, if possible, “because the more we are, the more we will help improve patient care and advance research into the illness”.

The provincial vice-president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, David Cova, remarked that on May 12 the AECC resumes the collection day, which will be dedicated fundamentally to research through different projects, such as in Tenerife, through a doctoral fellowship.

In addition, he thanked the Cabildo and Metrotenerife for the support and facilities they have given to take the campaign to the tram stops and Publiservice Canarias, for their collaboration in the design, printing and logistics of the posters.

Metrotenerife’s Social Responsibility Plan also contemplates the revitalization of the AECC campaign ‘How can we help you?’ on the tram’s social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram @tranviatenerife).
