A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) has rescued a 16-year-old minor who was in an area of difficult access in Barranco del Infierno since last Sunday, in the municipality of Adeje.
The events occurred after 2:00 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing that a minor, who had gone hiking the day before, he had not returned.
The helicopter located and accessed the affected person, who was in an area of difficult access for ground resources, provided him with first aid and hoisted him onto the apparatus to evacuate him to the Adeje Volunteer Fire Department helipad.
Once on land, the staff of the SUC (Canary Emergency Service) assisted the minor and transferred him to the Hospital del Sur.
The Civil Guard, which coordinated the device deployed in the area, mobilized a helicopter and members of the GREIM who intervened in the search with the support of a drone and two crews from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium participated in the search operation .
In addition, on the helipad, they ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the aircraft. Local Police and Rural Guards collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
