SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 3 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Fifteen flights have had to be canceled and another four have been diverted as a result of the arrival of the storm in the Canary Islands, which this Sunday is affecting some of the Archipelago’s airports, according to sources from Aena to Europa Press.
Specifically, there have been eleven cancellations of flights between Tenerife North and La Palma and another two between Gran Canaria and La Palma, all of them due to adverse weather conditions at La Palma Airport. There have also been two flight cancellations between Tenerife and La Gomera.
As for the diversions, there has been a diversion of a Tenerife North flight to El Hierro, which returns to Tenerife North due to adverse weather conditions in El Hierro; a flight diversion from Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura (adverse weather at Fuerteventura Airport), a diversion from Tenerife North to La Palma, which could not enter La Palma and had to return to Tenerife North, and a diversion to Tenerife South of a flight from Düsseldorf to La Palma.
