The new president of the Popular Party of Spain, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has included Marta Vela in the National Board of Directors, so that the Popular Party of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will have a representation in the leadership of the party at the national level.
Marta Vela is currently chief of staff of the popular group in the government of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Vela began her political activity in 2014 as a member of the tagoror of the Salud-La Salle District.
In the 2015 elections, he was on the lists of the Popular Party of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. She has been a member of the Insular Board of Directors and was elected, after the last Insular Congress, sectoral deputy secretary of the Popular Party of Tenerife, a position that she currently holds.
Marta Vela has developed her vocation for public service within the Popular Party of Santa Cruz, representing, through her work and personal commitment to her municipality and her Island, the most deeply rooted values of the Popular Party: the defense of municipalism, of rights and freedoms, and the rule of law.
Upon receiving the news, the spokesman for the Popular Party in Santa Cruz, Carlos Tarife, stressed that the city “will be very well represented on the National Board of Directors through Marta, who is a fundamental piece of our team”, concluding that Marta Vela is “an important asset for the future of the Popular Party”.
