SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 2 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The spokesman for the Gomeran Socialist Group Parliamentary Group (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, will address the repercussions for the Canary Islands of the National Plan for Response to the Impact of the War at the next plenary session of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, which will be held on April 5 and 6 Ukraine, endowed with 16,000 million euros and approved by the Council of Ministers on March 29.
The regional deputy will raise this issue in order to delve into the effects of this aid to the Archipelago. “The State has already approved a series of actions to deal with the consequences of the armed conflict, but specific measures are necessary for the Islands, given our insular nature, the condition of the outermost region and the economic situation, which are added to the extra costs of the double insularity suffered by El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera”, he defended.
Likewise, he valued actions such as aid to the primary sector, with more than 362 million euros, an item of more than one billion for transport, the 15% increase in the amount of the minimum vital income for three months and the extension to 600,000 families more than the electricity social bond, among others, but raised “the need to go one step further and define specific actions for the Islands”.
In the same way, Curbelo will question the actions that are being carried out to alleviate the production and transport costs of farmers, ranchers and industrialists. “It is of vital importance that instruments and aid be articulated to compensate for this situation, especially those self-employed and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who are being harmed by the current scenario,” he indicated.
