The councilor of United We Can in the City Hall of Santa Cruz of Tenerife Yaiza Gorrín has announced this Friday her resignation from the mayor’s act as she does not feel identified with the project of the purple formation.
Through a statement, he has stressed the lack of identification both at the state and local levels and pointed out that “the reality” is that the evolution of the party “does not correspond” to what was believed at its birth as a “tool” at the service of citizenship.
He has said that the decision has been considered and shared with the fellow founders of the Podemos circle in Santa Cruz of Tenerife and has wanted the deficiencies to be corrected and responsibilities to be cleared up for the 2023 elections.
Gorrín is part of the Podemos group of public officials that has supported the march of deputy Meri Pita to the Mixed Group in Congress.
