SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 1 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecutor’s Office requests a 14-year prison sentence for a man, with a mild mental disability, for sexually abusing a minor with whom he had a friendly relationship at his home in the lagoon neighborhood of Taco.
The events, according to the indictment collected by Europa Press, occurred when the man went to the minor’s home with the purpose of recovering a sweater and taking advantage of the fact that she was alone, he began to kiss her until he pushed her against the bed and consumed vaginal sexual assault.
The minor tried to get away from the man without success and ended up with several genital injuries and anxious and depressive symptoms.
The man is diagnosed with chronic motor tic disorder, mild mental retardation and epilepsy, but the Prosecutor’s Office understands that his intelligence or ability to know reality was not nullified or diminished at the time of the events, nor was his will or ability to choose between different options. .
The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts constitute a crime of sexual assault on a minor with carnal access through the vagina and also requests the prohibition of approaching the victim at a distance of less than 500 meters for a time greater than ten years to the duration sentence, probation for ten years, the obligation to participate in sex education programs and special disqualification for any profession or trade that involves regular and direct contact with minors.
The trial is held next week at the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
