The Cabildo de Tenerife is among the finalists of the XIV edition of the prestigious Aslan Awards for Digitization in Public Administrations, awards with which each year the main companies in the technology sector recognize successful cases of digital transformation. This year 67 initiatives from 49 entities have been presented.
The Minister of the Presidency, Finance and Modernization, Berta Pérez, explains that the Cabildo has been selected for its insular cybersecurity project, through which a Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC) has been implemented that includes the island’s municipalities and the dependent entities.
A budget of 630,000 euros is planned for the development of the initiative this year. It has been possible through an agreement with the National Intelligence Center,
The municipalities of Vilaflor, El Tanque, Fasnia, Los Silos and Buenavista del Norte have applied this plan to thereby obtain certification in the National Security Scheme. In addition, work has begun to incorporate the other twelve municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants on the Island into the project so that they can also obtain certification.
