The Cabildo claims “equality and respect” towards people who are part of the trans group. The Salón Noble has hosted the commemorative act of the International Day of Trans Visibility, a day that seeks to raise awareness among citizens and put an end to structural discrimination.
President Pedro Martín assures that claiming this day “is an obligation.” He adds: “This movement has suffered attacks of all kinds, including some in silence whose intention is to make invisible.” He values. “We are not here to make invisible; it’s just the opposite.” The Minister of Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, values a meeting that highlights the reality of trans people in Tenerife. “This Cabildo supports the rights of the group,” he says.
The entities Adiciona Diversidad, Chrysallis, Libertrans and Transboys, which work directly with trans people, participated in the event.
