A beloved and remembered doctor

Pedro Eustaquio Perez Garcia, boy, was born in La Orotava in 1949. He studied medicine in Santiago de Compostela, where he met his wife María Luisa Lapido, in the town of Padrón, and over time he received the Gold Medal from Amigos de Padrón. In La Orotava he installed his consultation as a specialist in otorhinolaryngology, passing through the same many patients who always showed him his respect. But in addition to his exemplary professionalism, his concerns led him to participate in several projects and multiple groups in the municipality. He was a defender of local traditions and responsible for several decades of one of the Corpus Christi flower carpets. In addition, he was part of the Quinegua group, and through his contacts he managed to bring important musicians to the Villa. He was also, among other things, president of the Mutua de Accidentes de Canarias (MAC), and of the San Isidro Basketball Club.
