The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Science and Technology Park, and the INCYDE Foundation promote the development of digital skills among the youngest with free training on online content generation, which is intended to help students improve their options employability in today’s labor market and develop an entrepreneurial attitude.
The program, part of the Reactivate your future initiative, has a quota of 25 people and is aimed at people under 30 who are registered in the Youth Guarantee, who are unemployed and who are not currently studying.
The Minister of Innovation, Enrique Arriaga, explained that every day companies demand experts in content generation and management of social networks, an important business niche that is an opportunity for young people.
And he added that the emergence of social networks and online search engines “have radically transformed traditional marketing, giving infinite possibilities to communication, so the labor market is looking for professionals with high qualifications and the necessary digital skills to handle themselves with ease in the online environment.
The Digital Content Generation program, whose registration period will be open until next Monday, April 4, will run for seven weeks, six of which will be via streaming and the last one, through field work. The study days will include group sessions, accompaniment actions and individualized advice, complementary online training and hours of mentoring and monitoring of future business plans.
Thanks to this training action, attendees will be able to learn in a theoretical and practical way what are the main tools for managing digital content, such as: MYSQL, Apache, self-management text editors (WordPress, PrestaShop, etc.), services of hosting, design tools, integration of Social Networks, essential plugins, most used web managers, Chrome extensions or layout tools, among others.
The specific training in digital content generation is completed with a broad agenda related to business management, which will allow participants to obtain the necessary training to start their own business. Thus, the program also includes subjects such as project management, digital marketing, finance and legislation.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of this program carried out by the Tenerife Science and Technology Park and the INCYDE Foundation are focused on developing in students the necessary skills to generate quality content in the company in which they develop professionally, or in their own if decides to start his own business.
These trainings qualify to subsequently access the CEDeI Center of Excellence for Development and Innovation, whose objective is the training of people linked to information and communication technologies, in order to adapt their training and experience to the current demand of companies , promoting the direct creation of employment in the insular area.
This training is co-financed by the Tenerife Science and Technology Park, the INCYDE Foundation and the European Social Fund (ESF), through the Youth Employment Operational Program (POEJ).
