SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 30. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife will open tomorrow, Thursday, a call for subsidies aimed at the livestock health defense groups (ADSG) of the Island and with which it is intended to improve the health of the livestock population of Tenerife.
The island councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, explained that these aids, to which a budget of 100.00 euros is allocated, seek to cover the execution of the health programs of the ADSG, “which are key to guaranteeing animal health of the insular cattle herd”.
According to Parrilla, these subsidies “will improve the conditions for obtaining and handling milk from sheep and goats, and will favor the implementation of animal health and public health measures on island farms.”
All those ADSG of the Island of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry for meat and laying, beekeeping and rabbit farming that are officially recognized by the General Directorate of Livestock of the Government of the Canary Islands and registered in the General Registry of Livestock Farms (REGA).
The groups must also be up to date with their tax obligations and with Social Security, and have the authorization of a veterinary medicine dispensing center, dependent on the Government of the Canary Islands, when the subsidy for pharmaceutical or medicine expenses is requested.
The application submission period will remain open for 20 business days starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 31.
