And then He was taken by ambulance to a hospital. But the key work was carried out by the National Police negotiator, who spoke with the aforementioned man for a total of six hours, until he managed to get him out of the bathroom calmly, where he locked himself up with a knife and threatened to end his life. of the. He went out, gave him a bottle of water and the man walked a little through the house, until five members of the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) reduced him to prevent him from self-harming, as established by the protocol in these cases.

According to data that emerged yesterday, the problems began on Monday night. Supposedly, the Russian citizen arrived with a high degree of drunkenness at his home, near Parque Las Flores, in the San Antonio area. And from that moment his partner allegedly showed fear that some violent episode could occur. The individual stayed in the garden and could not access the interior of the house.

And, from that moment on, during the night and early morning, he began to throw belongings onto public roads. At 9:30 a.m., the couple of the Russian citizen requested the intervention of the Local Police of Puerto de la Cruz to try to reassure the man. It was 9:30 a.m. When he observed the municipal agents, the individual locked himself in a bathroom with a knife and threatened to take his own life. From that moment, the local police required the action of the National Police. Agents from the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), the Judicial Police and Citizen Participation Brigade of the Puerto de la Cruz-Los Realejos Police Station, as well as the inspector who acts as a negotiator in these situations. The device was directed by the commissioner of the National Police in said demarcation.

The intervention lasted for more than seven and a half hours. And about six hours lasted the activity of the inspector who spoke with the man to give up his attitude. For 15 minutes, this professional gathered around her other agents and the PIU team that had to enter the house in order to plan the intervention. Later, she returned to the interior of the home, a villa with a swimming pool that the Russian citizen and his partner have rented for about five years. And she spoke to the man again, until he left the bathroom. He waved his hand. The woman offered him a bottle of water and, seconds later, the UIP agents, who were protected with bulletproof vests, helmets and shields, acted. And they also carried a stiletto. Once immobilized, health personnel from a medicalized ambulance injected a tranquilizer into the man to prevent further aggressive episodes.

According to some neighbors, on some other occasion, specifically, about 10 days ago, he already starred in another violent episode, with screaming, breaking glass and dishes inside the house. Other neighbors explained that he is a quiet man, but that excessive alcohol consumption makes him very aggressive and unpredictable. And it is not ruled out that he suffers from some kind of mental health problem.

Agents of the Nature Protection Service (Seprona) of the Civil Guard removed several exotic animals yesterday, such as an iguana, birds of protected species and three large turtles. Some time ago they also took a snake from him.
