The Municipality of Los Realejosthrough its Department of Healthdirected by Carolina Toste (PP), presents a campaign to promote vaccination and identification of pets in coordination with the local veterinary clinics, with which a single price of 70 euros has been agreed for the chip implantation service, inoculation of the rabies vaccine and identification card. The objective of this initiative is to promote “responsible pet ownership”. The municipal ordinance indicates the mandatory identification of pets and that they have the vaccines mandatory.
“The promotion of animal welfare It continues to be one of the lines of work of this local government and we have seen fit to launch this dissemination campaign that, on the one hand, contributes to promoting the necessary care and preventive treatments for pets, as well as raising awareness of the responsibility of those who have them and on the other hand it serves measure of support and dissemination of veterinary services provided by establishments in this sector located in our town”, according to the first deputy mayor and councilor for Commerce of The Realejos, Adolfo Gonzalez (PP).
“In principle, we have agreed on this measure with a single price in force until December 31, 2022 with the La Montaña Veterinary Clinic, the Toscal Longuera Veterinary Clinic, the Alper Wellmann Veterinary Center, the 3 de Mayo Veterinary Clinic and the Oh My Pet!”, details Carolina Toste, who adds that “the campaign will be broadcast on the social networks of the Los Realejos City Council itself, in the municipal radio station Radio Realejos and with paper posters in the aforementioned clinics and veterinary centers”.
“Having a pet is a clear sign of affection and closeness towards the animal and a demonstration of love, fidelity and special company, but it also entails a commitment and responsibility for its owners, issues that from this Department of Health we make visible and that from the Local police We will try to monitor for a correct and safe citizen coexistence and animal welfare in our municipality”, he highlights.
