titsa launches a new direct line, the 100, between Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz. The island councilor for Mobility and president of the Cabildo company, Enrique Arriaga, points out that this new service represents “one more commitment to promoting mobility in public transport both among regular residents and temporary visitors.” The route will operate on weekdays with three departures in each direction. It will be from today Monday, first thing in the morning. Arriaga details that another of the objectives is to contribute to the decongestion of the traffic of the Autopista del Norte, the TF-5, this route will work on weekdays with three exits in each direction.
For his part, the island’s director of Mobility, José Alberto León, explains that line 100 thus joins the rest of the services that connect the island’s capital with the tourist city par excellence. The 100 also started up especially to respond to the demands of workers and tourists who required a faster service in certain time slots of the day.
Schedules.
The new route 100 will provide services only on working days and will have departures from Puerto de la Cruz at 7:15, 10:15 and 15:15. With Santa Cruz de Tenerife as the start of the route, the vehicles will depart at 9:15 am, 11:15 am and 4:15 pm.
“One of the objectives of the measure is to alleviate traffic congestion on the TF-5”
Journeys.
The route of the new service will be more direct and with fewer stops than other lines. In this way, sense capital unites the stages of Puerto de la Cruz Station – El Risco -Toucan-La Paz-Botanical Garden-Meridiano Shopping Center-Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange. In the opposite direction, the route will be the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange-Botanical Garden-La Paz-Tucán-El Risco-Puerto de la Cruz Station.
’round’ number.
The new line 100, a round number that is easily recognized and remembered, joins from this moment on other services that already link the capital with Puerto de la Cruz. Specifically, lines 102 (Santa Cruz Puerto de la Cruz interchange via Las Arenas), 103 (Santa Cruz-Puerto de la Cruz interchange via El Botánico) and 104 (Santa Cruz-Puerto de la Cruz interchange) , in the latter case only at night.
More frequencies in the 054 and 055
Titsa increases the services of the 055 line and the resources of the 054 as of today to improve punctuality and the frequencies of passage. The Minister of Mobility and president of the company, Enrique Arriaga, points out that the measure is due to the increase in demand, given that they are two important routes in the service to the residents of La Laguna. “In this way, we get them to have better schedules and be more punctual,” he explains. Starting today, Monday, the 055, which joins the La Laguna and Barranco Grande interchange via Geneto, will have 39 trips in each direction on weekdays compared to the current 34. On Sundays there will be 24 each way and not the 16 until now. For its part, line 054 (Interchanger of La Laguna-Altos de El Sauzal-Interchanger of La Laguna) is assigned more resources with the intention of improving punctuality and better fulfilling the provision to users.
