The highway area of the Council of Tenerife is now in the final phase of the work of rehabilitation of the southern motorway (TF-1). As of tonight, it will take place between kilometers 46.2 and 52.5, that is, in the section between the Environmental-Tajao Complex and the Granadilla Industrial Estate, in the municipalities of Arico and Granadilla de Abona. On this occasion, the improvement work will continue with the paving of the wearing course in these 6.3 kilometers at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. During this period, different alternatives to circulation will be enabled in order to maintain the flow of traffic.
The island councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, explains that, after ten months of work on the highway, “drivers can appreciate the improvement of the road.” It is, says the also vice president of the Cabildo, “A much-needed action that directly affects road safety on the TF-1.”
Arriaga says that after 10 months of work, drivers can appreciate the improvement of the road
Over the next few days, the improvement work carried out by Sacyrwill be concentrated between junctions 46, which corresponds to (Tajao-Environmental Complex, and 52, located at Access B of the Granadilla Industrial Estate. As a consequence, the Cabildo recalls that exits 49 (Chimiche -El Río-Las Maretas) and 51 (Polígono Industrial de Granadilla, Acceso A).This time the works on the road will be carried out only in the direction of Adeje.
For example, tonight the links Tajao-Complejo Ambiental (46) and Chimiche-El Río-Las Maretas (49) will remain closed. Users must bear in mind that vehicles traveling south and wishing to access the towns of Tajao, Chimiche, El Río and Las Maretas or the Environmental Complex will have to continue to the link corresponding to Access A of the Granadilla Industrial Estate. , (51), where they can carry out the change of direction operation.
On the other hand, Drivers intending to join the motorway from these areas towards Adeje must drive towards the capital until the Villa de Arico-Abad junctionis (42) to make the change of direction.
The works must conclude in June and affect the 40 kilometers that separate Arico and Adeje
During the work planned for Monday and Tuesday night, the Chimiche-El Río-Las Maretas junction (49) will be joined by the exits Access A of the Granadilla Industrial Estate (51) and Access B of the Granadilla Industrial Estate (52) , in which they will also intervene. For this reason, those who seek to access any of the closed junctions can continue to exit 55, from San Isidro-El Médano, to change the direction of driving and rejoin the road in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and reach the desired areas. .
Likewise, to drive in the direction of Adeje from these exits, you can join the road as far as the Tajao junction in the direction of Santa Cruz and make the change of direction there.
Finally, between Wednesday and Thursday only the entrance links to the Granadilla Industrial Estate will be affected (51 and 52). In this case, to drive south from this area you will have to exit towards Santa Cruz and you can change direction at junction 49.
These works are part of the resurfacing plan for the southern highway that has been carried out since last April and which includes an execution period of approximately fourteen months. In total, the works, carried out by Sacyr, will comprise nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico.
