SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 25. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Roca Team of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested two men aged 46 and 48, residents of the municipality of Candelaria, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force continued in the agricultural field.
The defendants entered by force and repeatedly into a one-hectare farm in Güímar, where 35 avocado trees are grown, subtracting a total of 450 kilos of the ‘hass’ and ‘smooth’ variety.
One of the defendants had worked on the farm, which allowed him to have knowledge about the entrance accesses, perimeter fencing, and entry and exit times for workers.
During the investigation, the agents managed to verify that those now detained had accessed the main door on more than one occasion, which they must have known perfectly since the ‘modus operandi’ to avoid raising suspicions was to disengage it, access it and refit it, for which which you have to have a very specific knowledge of the farm and of that specific access.
In addition, they also stole 100 meters of perimeter fence valued at 2,500 euros.
To locate the perpetrators of the robberies, the Roca Team agents established a surveillance device in the vicinity of the affected land, with postings and verification points for people and vehicles.
The detainees, together with the proceedings carried out, have been placed at the disposal of the Güímar Guard Court of Instruction.
