Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Roca Team of this Command of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested two men aged 46 and 48, both residents of the municipality of Candelaria, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force continued in the agricultural field for subtracting 450 kilos of avocado from a farm in Güimar.
The events occurred when, presumably, the men entered by force and on repeated occasions into a one-hectare agricultural farm in which 35 avocado trees are cultivated, subtracting a total of 450 kilos of Hass avocados. and smooth, according to the Civil Guard in a statement.
One of the men had worked on the farm that was the object of the continued criminal offence, so he had knowledge of its characteristics, mainly about the entrance accesses, the perimeter fence or the entry and exit times of workers.
During the investigation, the agents verified that they had accessed the main door on more than one occasion. In order not to arouse suspicion, they dislodged it, accessed it and put it back together. In addition, on one of the occasions in which they entered the farm, they also stole 100 meters of perimeter fence, valued at 2,500 euros.
To clarify the continued crime of robbery with force, the Roca Team established a surveillance device in the vicinity of the affected land, with postings and verification points for people and vehicles. The clues obtained during the visual inspections were key to culminating this investigation with the arrest of the two suspects, the note indicates.
The detainees, together with the proceedings carried out, have been placed at the disposal of the Güímar Guard Court of Instruction.
