The Tacoronte Agricultural Training Schoolwhich manages the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Canary Islands Governmenthas recently represented the agricultural schools of Spain adhered to the European Association in the International Agricultural Show in Paris, held from February 26 to March 6. The students Alejandro Nunez Molina and Daniel Ramos Sosasecond year of Medium Cycle of Agricultural Productionaccompanied by the livestock teacher Gerardo Rosa Gomezparticipated in the contest Assessment of Animals by Youth, in which cattle of dairy and meat breeds were evaluated. Both students achieved eighth and twelfth places at the European level, “very positive rankings given that in this competition they faced countries with a great cattle tradition and great international experience.”
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands sponsored and promoted this participation to collaborate in the internationalization of the students and teachers of the agricultural training schools.
The General Director of Agriculture, August Hernandez, has highlighted “the great work in agricultural training of the training schools of the islands, with a high teaching level and some students who have proven their worth in a contest of such prestige as this one”.
