The eleventh edition of “Tecnológica Santa Cruz” once again places the capital of Tenerife on the national scene of events on innovation and the knowledge society. The meeting will feature more than a dozen speakers from various sectors who will address issues of Information and Communication Technologies that have burst onto society.
The event, which has been growing over the years, will take place from this Tuesday 22 to Sunday 27 in the traditional locations of the Guimerá Theater and the La Recova Art Hall, thus returning to the traditional month of its celebration.
The CEO of the Sociedad de Desarrollo, Alfonso Cabello, explained that “our intention is that ‘Tecnológica Santa Cruz’ addresses the most burning issues of current ICTs, with the aim of deepening and bringing citizens closer to the digital trends”, and pointed out that “this year we will deal with the metaverse again, a virtual world that is being talked about a lot in these months and that seems to be the new space where we will interact in the near future”.
Regarding the traditional conferences at the Guimerá Theater, they will be dynamic 20-minute talks in which renowned professionals from the national and regional scene will talk about the Digital Transformation that has accelerated in recent times. In addition, this year the participation of a large majority of women who participate or present some of the activities of Tecnológica Santa Cruz stands out, reaching 62.5%, while men account for 37.5%.
On Thursday, March 24, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., more than a dozen speakers will take the stage, including the businessman and communicator, Pau Garcia-Milà; the Chief Metaverse Officer of Telefónica, Yaiza Rubio; the rapper and social activist, El Chojín; the presenter and collaborator of radio and television, Lorena Castell; the anesthesiologist and health promoter, David Callejo; the head of Business Development at TomaTicket, Lorena Heredia; and the person in charge of technological solutions of Newtral, Rubén Míguez.
This panel of speakers will be complemented by a round table made up of Canarian influencers such as the artist and singer Borja Rodríguez, “Bejo”; the influencer of the lifestyle sector, Cathaysa González; plus size fashion and lifestyle influencer Ceci Wallace; and Laura Ramírez (DePetitMoments) who combines her administrative work with her knowledge and passion for the fashion and lifestyle sector. The Communication specialist, Airam Abella, will be in charge of stimulating the conversation between the participants.

“Technological Late Fight” and “TecnoCon Worten”, two proposals for the young public
On Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., “Late Fight Tecnológica” will be held, a show in the purest “late night” television style, which will deal with the experiences and learning of Canarian entrepreneurs after their successes and also their failures. The event, which aims to serve as an inspiration for entrepreneurs, will be led by Canarian technological women such as Azucena Hernández, Elena Corchero and Montserrat Rodríguez, and whose tickets can be purchased on the website www.tecnologicasantacruz.com at the price of 2 euros.
On the other hand, from Friday to Sunday “TecnoCon Worten” will take place in the La Recova Art Gallery, an initiative whose access is free and in which technology, video games and Asian culture will be the protagonists. Thus, throughout the three days there will be K-Pop dance, cosplay, video game and board game contests, and a space called Artist Alley will be set up, where several stores and more than 60 Canarian digital artists will exhibit their products and can also be purchased.
