The Municipality of Los Realejos maintains its firm commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and local businesses with measures such as theto grant line Site 0which helps finance the rental of empty premises that are recovered for new business initiatives, and new specific aid for the installation of removable terraces, platforms and awnings in bars, restaurants and cafes in the municipality. Total, the northern town hall book this year €57,000 for these two lines of local grants, whose application period is now open. This amount can be increased by an additional 40,000 euros.if the demand requires it.
Site 0 has an initial budget of 17,000 euros and can be requested until April 4. The aid for the terraces has 40,000 euros and its application period will remain open until next April 22. The first deputy mayor and councilor for the areas of Employment and Trade of Los Realejos, Adolfo Gonzalez (PP)details that the new extraordinary aid for terraces in public domain “It encourages the installation of these structures in accordance with the ordinance in order to improve accessibility and pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks, favoring safe outdoor spaces for establishments, and all under the same aesthetic criteria.” Each business will be able to access a maximum amount of 2,000 euros.
Applicants may avail themselves of these retroactive aid and in the form of a direct payment for those who have already installed these infrastructures in accordance with the municipal ordinance to compensate for the expenses already incurred, ”says González.

That of 2022 is the eighth call for this line of subsidies Site 0to which a total of 71,296 euros of municipal funds have been allocated in Los Realejos, which have benefited a total of 37 local companies.
Site 0 aims to recover the use of empty premises in open commercial areas. It may be requested by business initiatives that have started activity between October 1, 2020 and February 28, 2022 in a place of a maximum of 200 square meters, leased and that meet the requirements established in the bases. The bars and restaurants of the municipality can apply for this aid of up to 2,000 euros to prepare their terraces until next April 22.
