The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) the public announcement of 37 places for the Local Police for the free access shift and through the opposition system.

The Official State Gazette will soon publish the announcement of the call for the selective procedure, which has been negotiated at the Local Police sector table and which responds to the need to cover as many vacancies in the list of jobs in the police force.

The bases of the call, which can be consulted in the BOP, establish that the applicants, among other conditions, must be of legal age and be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and a class A2 and B driving license.

Interested applicants must submit their application within 20 calendar days from the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette, through the official model that appears in the BOP itself and that can also be obtained at municipal offices and at the headquarters website of the town hall (www.santacruzdetenerife.es).

They must also pay the corresponding fee, in accordance with the municipal ordinance, of 20.40 euros by bank deposit.

After the deadline for submitting applications and correcting them established by current regulations, a selection court will be formed made up of officials from different public administrations, in charge of managing the selective system.

This process will consist of 4 phases (opposition, selective course and internship period) and will deal with tests of physical aptitude, knowledge, languages ​​and psychotechnics.

Applicants who have passed the opposition phase must successfully complete a selective course taught by the Autonomous Community as well as a paid internship period of 1,200 hours of service, before being deserving of their final appointment as career officers of the Police Corps. local.

The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, highlights in a statement that the local government’s effort to “properly equip” the body is materialized not only with the incorporation of new agents, but also with the renewal and provision of material.

Also in relation to the Local Police, the City Council of Santa Cruz informs that the governing board has given its approval to the drafting of the technical documents necessary for the conditioning of the building of the Urban Planning Department, on El Carmen Avenue, to move the headquarters of the body there. At the moment, it is located on Tres de Mayo Avenue. The Planning Department will move, in turn, to Calle General Antequera.
