SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 22. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates this Tuesday 5,426 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 since the last update made on Friday.
The total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands since the start of the pandemic is 323,329, with 13,801 active, of which 28 are admitted to the ICU and 263 remain hospitalized.
In addition, the Canary Islands have registered six deaths since last Friday, of which four were reported in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife. The deceased, aged between 74 and 88 years, had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 439.21 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 871.43 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, since last Friday, Tenerife has added 1,558 cases with a total of 147,591 accumulated cases and 6,241 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 123,097 accumulated cases, 2,996 more since Friday, and 5,948 active.
Lanzarote adds 192 new cases with 21,362 accumulated and 219 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 15,509 accumulated cases, with 226 new cases and 336 active ones.
La Palma adds 327 new positives, so it has 11,416 accumulated and 754 active, La Gomera has 103 new positives, so its accumulated is 2,343 and has 274 active cases, and El Hierro adds 24 new cases, so it has 2,011 accumulated and its assets are 29.
Until this Tuesday, a total of 3,382,073 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 19,869 correspond to the last 96 hours.
