Twenty cruise ships will pass through the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the next 15 days



The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will receive between next Monday, March 21, and Thursday, March 31, twenty cruise ships that will once again guarantee the capital of Tenerife not only prints for enjoyment but also an important movement of passengers and crew members on the Island with the economic injection that this entails.

According to the forecasts handled today by the Commercial Unit of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the most important dates will be Thursday the 24th, with four ships in port, specifically the Iona, MSC Splendida, Mein Schiff3 and World Voyager3, these last two with operational base port, which means that its passengers start and end the journey through the Canary Islands in the port of Tenerife. They will meet at the facility in the capital from eight in the morning to five in the afternoon, Mein Schiff3 being the last to leave the facility.

Three units will arrive on Friday the 25th, specifically Mein Schiff4, Europa2 and La Belle des Oceans, being the last two small luxury cruise ships that will continue in Tenerife on Saturday the 26th to join the Ventura, Costa Luminosa and Valiant Lady, the latter in its first stopover in the Canary Islands.

Especially noteworthy is the scale of the MSC Seaside, on Wednesday the 30th, a shipping company that is working on a special event on the occasion of this visit. It should be remembered that MSC Cruises has just announced that it is reinforcing its presence in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which will be the embarkation port in the autumn season of 2022 for a 12-day, 11-night Western Mediterranean itinerary from September to November.

Valiant Lady is the new cruise of Richard Branson, a billionaire English businessman, known for his Virgin brand, a member of the Virgin Group. The ship will call at Tenerife as the first port of call in the Canary Islands to subsequently move to Barcelona, ​​where it will have its base port.

The ship, sponsored by Jennifer López, is dedicated solely to adult tourism and sails under sustainability concepts that mean, for example, not having buffets on board to avoid food waste.
