The City Council of El Rosario has presented three new vehicles destined for the Local Police, obtained through the renting formula, which lowers acquisition and maintenance costs and it generates a lower expense charged to the treasury by depending on the supplying company for everything related to repairing breakdowns, revisions or replacements. The mayor, Escolástico Gil (IR-Greens), and the first deputy mayor and Councilor for Security, Sara Cabello, accompanied by agents from the Local policewere present at the delivery ceremony of the new radio-patrols.
Escolástico Gil includes the aforementioned measure in “the important management that we have carried out since 2015 for the improvement of security in the municipality, where we have carried out the opening of the Civil Guard barracks, the reform of the Local Police units or the call for four new positions to expand the police workforce».
Sara Cabello detailed in a note that «the new vehicles, two Seat Ateca and a Toyota Hilux, are equipped with everything necessary to offer a quality response and with guarantees before any service or citizen complaint». They also include GPS geolocation and fleet management systems.
Gil, together with the head of the Local Police and the agents, examined the new vehicles, which have the regulatory devices, portable defibrillators and the latest advances in the market. Likewise, the mayor explains that “the leasing system has worked very well and allows us to save both money and technical and logistical problems, which are guaranteed by the supply company during the four years covered by the contract.”
Police vehicles increase their wear and repair needs due to the special conditions of some services, to which must be added the characteristics of an urban and rural municipality.
