SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 18. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The industrial wastewater from the Güímar Industrial Estate has already been connected to the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (EDARI), once the biological treatment process has been launched, the penultimate step before the station works one hundred percent. one hundred with all the guarantees of debugging.
“On March 10 we visited this plant with the mayors of Güímar and Arafo and the mayor of Candelaria, and on that visit I assured that in a short period of time the treatment plant would be working,” said the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín.
“This Friday we have already connected the flow of water to the biological treatment, with which the problem of the industrial estate’s wastewater has been resolved and with the connection of this treatment the caravan of tanker trucks to La Campana is interrupted and normality returns to the EDARI of the other polygon”, he pointed out.
“In this way, a service is safely offered to the polygon that had never been resolved, and that was causing environmental damage,” recalled the president, adding that “as with any process that begins, we will spend a few days checking that everything works as to what is established and with the necessary precautions”.
The president emphasized that “the Cabildo has worked very quickly to resolve a problem that affected a good number of companies in three municipalities, and finally, and sooner than expected, here is the solution.”
