SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, March 18. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A woman has been moderately injured after suffering a fall on a path in Valle Gran Rey, on the island of La Gomera, as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred this Thursday afternoon on the Lomo El Balo trail in the aforementioned municipality, where a rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) was moved, whose rescuers, along with volunteer firefighters from Valle Gran Rey , helped hoist the affected woman onto the aircraft to evacuate her to the San Sebastián de La Gomera helipad.
She was then assisted by personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), verifying that she had a moderate lower limb injury, with the exception of complications, and was transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to Hospital Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
In addition, the firefighters also facilitated the exit of the path of the companion of the affected person who was transferred to the health center in the area for assessment.
Civil Protection personnel, as well as Anaga Emergency Assistance (AEA), who collaborated with the device deployed in the area, appeared at the scene of the incident.
