The area of highways Council of Tenerife announces the start of rehabilitation works the TF-312 roadwhich joins El Botánico and Las Arenas, in the municipality of Cross port. The first vice president and insular councilor of the area, Enrique Arriaga (Cs), informs that the works of “this main artery of access to the tourist city include an important action on the pavement to replenish the wearing course and improve safety and drainage elements“.
The works will have a lead time of three months and a budget of 493,131 euros. The works will be carried out between kilometer points 0 and 2.
Arriaga details that “the works of this artery, the main access road to the tourist city, include an important action on the pavement to replace the wearing course on this road along which thousands of drivers circulate daily”. In addition, he explains that “defense and drainage elements will also be increased, a section of sidewalk and a wall will be replaced to improve the urban transition zone and a wall-planter will also be built”.

The Island Director of Highways, Thomas Felix Garciaspecifies that the rehabilitation consists of the partial removal of the pavement and its subsequent replacement respecting the grade of the current road, and recognizes that the current road is degraded as a result of high traffic density and inclement weather: “It is evident the emaciation and the progressive loss of the wearing course, which can affect safety and cause an increase in the accident rate of the road”.
To carry out the work safely, punctual cutsthe speed in the area will be reduced, alternative steps or deviations will occur as necessary at any time.
