Five shops in the capital of Tenerife and twenty Canary digital artists will participate in this eleventh edition of Technological Santa Cruz, which takes place from March 23 to 27 at the Guimerá Theater and the La Recova Art Hall. This has been communicated by the CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, who explained that “within the framework of TecnoCon Worten, we will enable several areas in the Plaza Isla de La Madera, where artists and businesses from the capital will show their products to the time they will carry out various activities.
In this sense, the mayor stressed that “these areas, which can be visited for free from Friday to Sunday, will bring together several shops in the capital, as well as a wide variety of artists, illustrators, graphic designers, 2D animators and 3D or cartoonists, with whom we intend to accommodate and promote local commerce and talent” and pointed out that “with these incorporations we also intend to generate economy in addition to holding activities, since the products on display can be purchased”.
Likewise, Cabello explained that “in person we will have three specialized stores such as Distrito Hobby, Tech and Games and El Árbol Blanco, who in addition to exhibiting will host numerous free activities for the whole family, and among which are crafts or the installation of a space for board games such as Saboteur, Secret Code, Bestial Bar, Fossilis, Throw Throw Burrito, Train Game or School of Penguins”.
The mayor has also pointed out that “for their part, Comic-Sería and Cómics y Mazmorras have collaborated very actively in the design of activities and the supply of material for the different actions that we will carry out” and of which he recalled that “the people participating in board games will be eligible for a trip between islands, thanks to Fred. Olsen Express or several batches of products and ‘merchandising’ material courtesy of Libbys”.
“It’s about making our commercial fabric visible and promoting it, which is specified in specialized stores that have a very specific audience, and which will be in physical stands and where, in addition, you can get the latest comic book merchandising or manga,” explained Cabello, who added that “in addition, we have incorporated them because we know that spaces for board games are very attractive to family audiences.”

On the other hand, the mayor reported that “as for the Canarian digital artists, they will also be located in the Plaza de la Isla de La Madera, in an Artist Alley, as it is known in the world of exhibitions, and which means, alley of artists, since it is a movement that emerged in numerous streets of the main cities of the world”.
“Technology, illustration and art also go hand in hand in these times and we wanted to promote the talent we have in our municipality,” said Cabello, who explained that “we will be able to see everything from digital illustrators to graphic designers, video game animators, or artisans, who will show their products in the Isla de la Madera square and whose material can be purchased, so that economic movement will also be generated”.
