Davinia García, new councilor of the City Council of Arico



The mayor of Arico, Sebastián Martín, has made in favor of Davinia García González, councilor of the Canarian Coalition, a special delegation of powers of internal direction and management of the functions assigned to the areas of Transport, Mobility and Accessibility, Citizen Participation and Sector Primary of the City of Arico.

Davinia García was invested as the new councilor of the consistory in Ordinary Plenary Session on November 24, 2021. The new mayor is a Graduate in Business Administration and Management and a specialist in Wine Tourism Management from the University of La Laguna. She has worked in the commercial field in a company in the municipality since 2008 and has been a member of the Canary Coalition since 2000.

The new mayor, Davinia García, was pleased to be part of the local government, “I enter with the hope of helping the residents of the municipality, above all I am an ariquera and I really want to work with my colleagues from the Government”, since it means “I am proud to be able to represent the residents of Arico and I want to be by their side in all concerns that may arise in this area.” The councilor stressed that she will always be “100% available to everyone in everything they need to serve them at any time.”

With this new appointment, the government team of the City Council of Arico is distributed as follows: Sebastián Martín (Primero Arico), mayor of Arico; Juan José Armas (Canarian Coalition), First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Works and Services, Coasts and Housing; Andrés Martínez (Popular Party), second deputy mayor and councilor for Employment, Urban Planning, Environment and Ecological Transition, Citizen Security and Youth and Sports; Víctor García (Primero Arico), third deputy mayor and councilor for Local and Economic Development, Economy and Finance, Contracting and Tourism; Dácil Cano (Canarian Coalition), fourth deputy mayor and Councilor for Culture, Heritage and Equality and Festivals and the Elderly; Pedro Andrés González (Canarian Coalition), Councilor for Social Welfare, Health and Sanitation and Education; and Davinia García (Canarian Coalition), Councilor for Citizen Participation, Primary Sector, Transport, Mobility and Accessibility.
