The Cabildo de Tenerife advances 766,000 euros for the works of the Valleseco beach

The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife agreed this Tuesday, March 15, to pay 766,000 euros for the Valleseco beach project, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a figure that corresponds to the insular contribution of this year, and that It is included in a total investment of the Corporation of 4.3 million euros since 2019, 24.5% of the total cost of this action.

The island president, Pedro Martín, highlights that “this investment, which we materialize through the Island Tourism Directorate, reflects the commitment of the Cabildo to make possible one of the main historical demands of the residents of the capital to recover the coastline , such as the transformation, conditioning and improvement of this part of the coastline, which after the works will be the recreation and bathing point that they have been waiting for so long”.

The island director, Laura Castro, points out the importance of this project for Santa Cruz and for the island in general, and links it to “so many other actions that we are promoting from the Cabildo de Tenerife for the improvement of the coastline throughout the entire island territory, projects to improve the tourist infrastructure that those of us who live here enjoy and also, very importantly, those who come to the island to spend a few days on vacation”.

With the approval of this payment, the Cabildo complies with the co-financing agreement for the works signed in 2019 with the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, together with the Santa Cruz City Council and the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands .

The Cabildo is facing 24.5% of the financing for the project, a total of 4,350,884 euros, which it was agreed to pay to the Port Authority in four annual installments, between 2019 and 2022.
