SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 15. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The photojournalist Emilio Morenatti will give a talk this Wednesday at 12:00 in La Laguna, including the Audiovisual and Digital Congress of the Canary Islands (Cadec), in which he will delve into war photojournalism.
Morenatti, winner of the ‘Pulitzer’ prize in the ‘Feature Photography 2021’, will review his 30 years of profession in which he has captured many of the most iconic images in the history of the planet, including the only ones captured from the crater of the volcano Cumbre Vieja in La Palma taken from a helicopter.
During his career he has covered wars, European summits, World Cups and natural disasters, but above all conflict situations, such as in Afghanistan, where he lost his foot when a bomb exploded as his convoy passed, or in recent days, the Ukrainian war.
Before Morenatti, the Teatro Leal de La Laguna will host at 10:00 a.m. the presentation ‘Entrepreneurship in the world of photography’, by Mario Rubio, a celebrity in night photos and with more than 36,000 followers on Instagram.
An hour later, Víctor Torres will talk about his projects in ‘Stock photography as a way of life’ and in the afternoon, and at the Faculty of Journalism, there will be a night photography workshop led by Mario Rubio.
