At the foot of the Cristo de la Paz, in the Church of María Auxiliadora in the capital of Tenerife, in the central district of Duggi, the people from Tenerife pray for the end of the war in Ukraine.
The parish priest of the aforementioned Chicharrera Church has installed a small cross brought from the Ukraine, as a sign of support in prayer for the cessation of the Russian attacks in that country and that the end of the war in Ukraine and the desired peace be achieved.
For its part, the image of the venerated Cristo de la Paz located in the Duggi’s Church It is the work of the sculptor and Canary Islands Prize winner Manuel Betancourt Santana.
