A Maritime Rescue helicopter has rescued a bather in distress on the coast of the municipality of Adeje, in the south of Tenerife, this Saturday morning.
According to the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Local Police of Adeje, it is a 21-year-old tourist who was in the sea in the Callao Salvaje area, in front of the Atlantic Holiday hotel.

After being rescued, the young man was taken ashore to be assessed by an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, which took him to the hospital with minor injuries, erosions and hypothermia.
All the islands of the Archipelago have been on alert since this Saturday for adverse coastal phenomena, for waves that can exceed five meters, and for strong winds.
