The Popular Party in the Cabildo denounces “the inefficiency of the government team” in direct aid to the productive fabric of Tenerife. The insular spokesperson, Zaida González, already asked the Minister of Employment, Carmen Luz Baso, during the last plenary session, “What happens in your area so that all the subsidy lines that you have presented have become a failure?”
The PP recalls that the Cabildo opened a line of direct aid to SMEs and the self-employed after the pandemic “whose payment was delayed so much that numerous companies closed their doors, definitively, before receiving them.”
The popular ones show that “the Cabildo opened a direct help line for artisans on the Island, to which only 65 joined.” In addition, González adds, “he promoted a campaign to encourage consumption (consumer bonds) that was a real failure.” And, finally, value to the counselor, «now we find that they enable a game of 300,000 euros for the craft and fashion sector, and they only pay 17,000».
Zaida González concludes: “At a time of economic difficulties like the one we are going through, the Cabildo should be leading strategies to help the private sector get out of this situation.”
