The president of Council of TenerifePedro Martín, assured this Monday before the microphones of COPE Canary Islands that soon “we will see a substantial change in the TF-5” after the start-up of some works from next year, as well as others for which the regional Executive is already “pressured” to be awarded as soon as possible.
Martín declares that “the most important project of all those on the Island in terms of roads” is the burying of the section of the TF-5 that runs from Guamasa to Lora and Tamayo, specifically below the municipality of La Laguna, which “has a tunnel in 80 percent of the way”. Work that depends both on the Island Corporation and the Government of the Canary Islands.
“The work of the Padre Ancheta roundabout and the burying of the TF24 highway, which is the one that arrives from La Esperanza and there you can already see the shovels,” says the leader, who adds that “this is going to be a black point that the traffic in this area is going to be relieved a lot, and although it does not solve it completely, we will certainly see a substantial change in the TF5 ”.
