Gran Canaria premiered the winners of the 1st Autonomous Championship of Canary Islands Children’s Teams, which took place this weekend in Puerto Santiago (Santiago del Teide, Tenerife), by beating Tenerife in the final (1-0) thanks to a goal by Aitor in the 35th minute of the match. The team led by Guayre Bentacor, a former UD Las Palmas player, among others, prevailed over the Tenerife team above all due to its effectiveness, the accuracy of its two goalkeepers and the lack of aim of Andrés Clavijo’s boys.
