SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 6. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, ends at 2:00 p.m. today, Sunday, the wind alert situation in the midlands and summits of El Hierro; La Gomera; midlands and summits of La Palma and Tenerife, and summits and east, south and west slopes of Gran Canaria.
This decision is made taking into account the information provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) and other available sources, and in application of the Canary Islands Specific Emergency Plan for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA), and having finalized the meteorological conditions that justified the declaration of the alert situation.
Likewise, the pre-alert situation, which was maintained in the remaining islands and areas of the Archipelago, is also considered to have ended.
