The City Council organizes a trip to La Palma

The City Council of Santiago del Teide is organizing a trip to the island of La Palma; assuming this an activity motivated to promote tourism to contribute positively to the different economic sectors of the island recently affected by the eruption of the volcano; highlighting that said trip will take place from April 5 to 7. Those people who wish to participate in said trip may do so for the amount of 290 euros.

Thus, it should be noted that this cost will include round-trip flights with a “resident” discount, accommodation for 2 nights in a 4-star hotel, the service of a professional guide for guided tours, the corresponding transfers by bus from Santiago del Teide to Tenerife North airport and the return and, finally, the corresponding travel insurance.

In this sense, the people participating in the trip will be able to visit, during the first day, such emblematic places as the Mirador de San Bartolo, Los Tilos, Los Sauces, Barlovento, La Laguna -the largest water reservoir-, as well as the Mirador de La Tosca, Charco Azul and San Andrés.

Likewise, during the second day they will enjoy a visit to the Sanctuary of the Patron Palmer, as well as the Mirador de la Cumbrecita to, later, visit the Mirador de Tajuda to be able to see the volcano, although a stop will be made in Los Llanos de Aridane and you can see the entire valley affected by the eruption. Finally, there will be a visit to the town of Tazacorte.

Finally, on the last day you can take a walk through the historic center of the capital, as well as a visit to Fuencaliente, where there will be a walk along the San Antonio Volcano -entrance not included-. Later, you will go through the Teneguía lavas until you reach the lighthouse and the Salinas; where they will later move towards Jedey to approach the affected area and, finally, they will go to the airport.

Those people who wish to obtain more information in this regard or who wish to attend will have a maximum period to register until March 21, and must contact by telephone 922-86-31-27, Ext. 200 and/or 119.
