The National Police will expand and reinforce the control device established in the nightlife area of La Laguna (Tenerife), known as the Quadrilateralafter the fight last Monday in which five young people were arrested for attacking law enforcement officers and public disorder.
Those agents heard screams coming from the vicinity of a entertainment venue and when they got there they saw how a group of six young people attacked each other, before which they intervened trying to dissolve the fight, police sources detail.
At that moment, and surprisingly, far from giving up their attitude, the participants in the brawl attacked the agents in a “very aggressive and hostile” manner, who were able to reduce and arrest four of them. Hours later they arrested a young woman who also participated in the brawl. The age of the detainees ranges between 22 and 35 years.
In addition to the ring, the National Police will reinforce its presence in the leisure areas of Santa Cruz during the times when there is a greater influx of young people.
And it is that also on Monday night he had to intervene to support the Local Police to disperse some 500 people who were waiting and trying to access a nightclub near the Parque Marítimo without having enough capacity inside.
The young people did not keep a safe distance and refused to leave the place, although they finally dispersed without incident.
The X Police Intervention Unit, the Prevention and Reaction Unit of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Response Operational Group of the La Laguna Police Station will intervene in the reinforcement in both leisure areas, and will also have the support of the Attention Group to the Citizen of La Laguna and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
