The blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag illuminate the facade since Wednesday night, a gesture against “an unjust, unequal war that is causing the flight” of civilians, while another part of the population “resists in the streets of the main cities the hard combats of the Russian artillery and tanks”, the City Council has indicated in a statement.
On February 25, the plenary session of the City Council approved an institutional motion condemning the invasion and in favor of peace, and the mayor participated last Sunday in a rally called by Ukrainian residents.
