The mayor, Ana Rosa Mena (PSOE), points out that the “economic and social reactivation” of the municipality have been the main objectives of some accounts “that intend to continue working on improving the general maintenance of the municipality and promoting projects related to sustainability, services, rural development, culture and sports, among others». The investment chapter, which amounts to 689,406 euros, includes different projects such as the asphalting plan, the construction of an athletics track, the municipal cemetery surveillance project, the remodeling of the Farmer’s Market or the renovation of public lighting, among others. other initiatives related to energy transition and infrastructure repair.
“In addition, chapter four stands out, related to aid and subsidies, which increases considerably, where agriculture, livestock, education, sports, culture and accessibility will be the main benefited areas», highlights the Municipality of Tegueste in the note. “This is a realistic budget, which will respond to the main needs of our neighbors, through the work carried out by the different areas, always in search of social welfare,” says the mayor.
Mena adds that the accounts for 2022 reflect the execution of the Neighborhood Plan, “a project in which we have worked directly with the citizens through the neighborhood tables, in which the main needs of the neighborhoods have been highlighted. neighborhoods of Tegueste, which are already working to make life easier for residents in their surroundings».

The municipal CC group in Tegueste denounced yesterday that the 2022 budget, approved by the quadripartite “almost two months late”, is a document “that has significant errors, it is practically a copy and paste of the previous year and, what it is more important, it reduces investments and does not contribute anything to the municipality».
