Tenerife firefighters from the San Miguel de Abona park intervened this Tuesday in the rescue of the corpse of a sperm whale stranded on the coast of Arona.
The firefighters were required by the veterinarians of the Environment area of the Cabildo de Tenerife, after locating the remains of the huge animal. Thus, the professionals had to equip themselves with PPE to avoid contact with bacteria and microorganisms that put their health at risk.
In this way, they accessed the body of the animal, tied it up and collaborated with the jib crane in its hoisting, as can be seen in a video shared on social networks.
